Andhra Pradesh NMMS 2023: Hall Tickets Released for Scholarship Exam |



AP NMMS 2023 Hall Ticket: The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) has issued the hall tickets for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2023-24. To download their admit cards, students registered for the AP NMMS 2023 exam can visit the official portal at bse.ap.gov.in.
The school authorities or principals must use their School U_DISE code and password to download the Andhra Pradesh NMMS 2023admit cards and subsequently distribute them to the students.The written exam is scheduled for December 3, 2023.
The NMMS scheme, launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, is a centrally sponsored initiative. It involves conducting an examination where selected candidates are awarded scholarships. Annually, 1,00,000 students are chosen nationwide, with 4087 scholarships allocated to Residuary Andhra Pradesh.
The distribution is based on enrollment in VII & VIII classes and child population for each academic year, with the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, conducting the NMMS examination since August 2008.
The examination takes place every November and is intended for students in the eighth class attending Government, Local Body, Municipal, Aided Schools, and Model Schools (without Residential Facility). Beneficiaries are selected based on merit and adhere to the state’s reservation norms: SC: 15% ST: 6% BC-A: 7% BC-B: 10% BC-C: 1% BC-D: 7% BC-E: 4% PH: 3%.

The release of hall tickets is a crucial step in facilitating the smooth conduct of the NMMS examination, ensuring that eligible students can actively participate and avail themselves of this scholarship opportunity.
The examination pattern for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) consists of two papers: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
For the MAT:
There are 90 Multiple Choice Questions.
The total marks are 90, with each question carrying one mark.
There is no negative marking.
For the SAT:
There are 90 Multiple Choice Questions.
The total marks are 90, covering social science, science, and mathematics from class VII & VIII.
Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking.
The duration for both MAT (Mental Ability Test) and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is 180 minutes.
Subject-wise marks distribution is as follows:
Physics: 12 marks
Chemistry: 11 marks
Biology: 12 marks
Mathematics: 20 marks
History: 10 marks
Geography: 10 marks
Political Science: 10 marks
Economics: 5 marks
The awarded student will receive an annual sum of Rs. 12,000. To facilitate this, the selected student must open a joint Savings Bank Account with their parents.
Each selected student is required to register and submit their application on the National Scholarship Portal, i.e., www.scholarships.gov.in.
The candidate’s parental income should not exceed Rs. 3,50,000/- per annum from all sources.
