SBI Clerk notification 2023: Here’s the direct application link, salary structure and more


The State Bank of India, on November 16, announced the notification for clerk recruitment. The application window for 8773 posts in is open from today, November 17. The last date for application for SBI clerks is 7th December, 2023 while the candidates can take a print out of the application till December.
Candidates can apply only through the official website at or apply through the direct link here.The Prelims examination for the SBI recruitment drive is scheduled for January 2024 while the Mains exam is likely to be on February 2024.
SBI Clerk Salary Structure 2023

SBI clerks will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension under New Pension scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave-Fare and other facilities, as per instructions of the bank as may be issued from time to time.
Various allowances include:

  • Dearness Allowance (The Dearness Allowance increases of quarterly basic and is dependent on the Inflation rate of the Country if the inflation increase the DA goes up and vice versa)
  • House Rent Allowance
  • Transport Allowance
  • Special Allowance
  • City Allowance
  • Medical Allowance
  • Newspaper Allowance
  • Furniture Allowance
  • These allowances will vary depending upon the location of posting.
  • Phone bill reimbursement

SBI Clerk: Roles and Responsibilities

Head Cashier: On some occasions, the clerk also performs the responsibility of a cashier. The role involves managing cash transactions of the concerned branch, clearing and transfer of cheques.
Other Responsibilities: The Junior Associates are also required to function as special assistants or universe tellers. They may also need to resolve customer concerns regarding a wide variety of issues.
